If you’re a newly-discovered HSP in mid-life and you’re struggling with what it means,

you’re in the right place.

Through mentoring with me, you can expect to:

  • Make changes in your life—including work, socializing, and family life—that will better serve you as an HSP

  • Feel more energized / less drained by life

  • Set healthy boundaries that serve you

  • Understand being an HSP alongside other personality traits, such as being high sensation seeking (HSS) or an empath

  • Learn ways to communicate your HSP trait to people in your life

  • Work on self-compassion and self-acceptance—often one of the hardest things to do when you’re new to discovering your high sensitivity

  • Really embrace and love your sensitive gifts

  • Build a personal toolkit of go-to skills and techniques that help to regulate and calm your nervous system

Why HSP mentoring matters

I was in your shoes five years ago. Since then, I’ve made changes I never dreamed I could make—I ended my marriage, let go of some friendships and found new/meaningful ones, set boundaries with my parents, left my director-level job in a well-known nonprofit to start a business as an HSP mentor—and I feel like a whole different person, like I’m finally on the path to becoming who I was meant to be all along.

I didn’t know any HSPs back then, so I embarked on an inner journey on my own with the help of books, podcasts, guided meditations, online courses, online communities, and a growth mindset. In hindsight, there are some things I wish I’d known early on that could’ve made the journey smoother. Now it is my honor to use what I’ve learned to mentor newly-discovered HSPs in mid-life to help them navigate their own sensitivity journey.

How mentoring works

Session 1: Sensitivity Landscape assessment (90 minutes, remote)

The first session with every client is a Sensitivity Landscape assessment. I guide a deep conversation that gives you a chance to really reflect on the possible impact of being an HSP on all different areas of your life, more clarity on what best to work on with me and where to start, and a knowing that I know more about the context of your life. This will in part shape the rest of the three months we work together, with room for us to shift gears as other things come up.

11 weekly sessions (60 minutes, remote)

I work with clients for a minimum of three months to allow time to determine the most impactful areas for you to focus on, learn new skills, and incorporate them into your life. I will share stories from my own life to normalize what you’re feeling and thinking at this stage of your HSP journey.

Alongside our mentoring sessions, you can expect lots of suggestions of podcasts, books, and guided meditations you might try, tailored to where you are in your HSP journey of self-discovery. On my journey as an HSP I’ve become a bit of an expert at the info out there, and I’ll send you the juicy good bits!

Curated suggestions and content

As a deep feeler and processor myself, I reflect on conversations and often have insights in the days following sessions. If my intuition tells me an insight would be good for you to hear now–some I need to save for later when you’re ready to hear them–I’ll leave you a voice note to share my thoughts.

Voice notes in between sessions

1:1 mentoring is offered at a rate of $1,800 for three months ($150 per week). This includes a weekly 60-minute session and curated content (podcasts, books, guided meditations, etc.), and voice notes some weeks.

FAQs

  • My most valuable education has been my own life experience. I know what it’s like to live in survival mode, search for answers for decades, and feel the sweet relief of discovering high sensitivity at age 49.

I committed to learning about my sensitivity and healing, and five years later, my life is transformed. I’ve made changes in pretty much every area of my life, some that once seemed impossible. And I have a new sense of purpose: to share my lessons learned with others going through the same thing and set them on a good path on their own sensitivity journeys.

I have a certificate in holistic health coaching from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

    • People who already know they’re highly sensitive and are ready to incorporate it into their lives

    • Deep thinkers and big feelers

    • People who prefer deep conversation and connection over small talk

  • If my approach and vibe appeals to you and you think we could be a good fit, please reach out. I’d love to hear from you.

Jane B., artist and therapist-in-training

“Working with Deb over the last few months has been such a worthwhile investment. It has been so incredibly helpful, and validating, to work with someone who really gets what it is like to discover that you are an HSP, and then figure out what to do with that life changing information! Someone who knows just how seismic and ungrounding that initially feels—when you feel overwhelmed with where to start, what to read, what changes to make, who to tell and how!

Deb is so generous and honest with sharing her lived experience with you. And not just that—all the thoughts and suggestions along the way, perfectly timed for where I was at. ‘Perhaps you might like to read this book, or listen to this podcast?’ And I absolutely loved her voice notes in between sessions—it was an unexpected bonus of working together.

Just some of the things that have come from working together have been... me making a big decision to change the way I work, a good hard look at the relationships and friendships in my life and what nourishes me, and lots of little tweaks to help me with calming my nervous system. I've still got a ways to go—there is so much to learn—but Deb has helped me so much so far, and continues to do so. I'm starting to live a more rewarding and fulfilling life, to embrace my strengths—and myself—as an HSP, and I feel hopeful for the future.

All in all I would highly recommend working with Deb to anyone who finds themselves in mid-life, having recently discovered being an HSP, and who could do with some gentle guided support from someone who totally gets it. It is invaluable!”
